Rimonabant (Acomplia, Zimulti) was created by a French Pharmaceutical Company Sanofi-Aventis or Sanofi-Synthelabo. This medication appeared to be a new method to overcome a problem of weight loss as it is used specially to treat obesity and perhaps some other ailments. The present diet drug was legally approved in the Great Britain on June 28th 2006. At the same time it was approved in other European countries as well as in many countries around the world that made this medicine especially popular in most part of the world. This could become a real reason to expect the FDA approval of Rimonabant (Acomplia, Zimulti) in the United States as well. But there are no guarantees to be certain of it.
